Port Lavaca is located near the center point of the 275-mile Texas Gulf Coast,
offering visitors a wide variety of public park facilities, RV accommodations
and excellent marinas. The tropical, seaside environment and community
charm add to an attractive, family-oriented vacation!

County, is 26 miles SE of Victoria, Texas (center to center) and 73 miles NE of
Corpus Christi, Texas. There are 12,035 residents in the city.
Attention Bird
Lovers: Birding has never
been better in Calhoun County! It is a migratory flyway for 400 species
of birds, and the area is a wintering ground for numerous species, including
the endangered Whooping Crane. The county boasts eight birding sites on
the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. For seven consecutive years, more
bird species have been recorded in Calhoun County than any other county in the
nation during the North America Migratory Count. The count is
conducted annually in May.
