Flip Flop Festival Canceled

Flip Flop Festival 2017 has been canceled. Look for 2018 to be bigger and better than ever.

It is with great regret that we have to officially cancel this year’s Flip Flop Festival. Our committee looked at all options and did not see a viable way to move forward with the 2017 festival that was postponed as a result of Hurricane Harvey.

Our committee informed council members Monday night that due to extensive damage to Port Lavaca parks, particularly Bayfront Peninsula and Lighthouse Beach, the venues for the festival would not be in condition to move forward with the 2017 event. Flip Flop Festival is in its ninth year and is Port Lavaca’s signature festival.
Our artists are working with us in every way they can. Look for information on the 2018 festival coming soon.

For vendors or barbecue teams seeking refunds, please contact Brook House at 361-552-2959. Refunds for tickets purchased in person may be obtained by taking your ticket to the Port Lavaca utility department. Refunds for online ticket purchases may be obtained by emailing greg@outhousetickets.com. However, do not rush to cash in those tickets too quickly. This year’s tickets will be good at next year’s event with added value and benefits. Those that hang on to them, will be glad they did.

Again, we are very sorry to have to make this announcement, but we feel it is in the best interest of our community at this time. If you have questions, please feel to contact me personally at 361-920-9788 or tania@flipflopfest.com.
